Tyler Doersam, OD
Dr. Doersam is a native of Warren, Illinois. He received his undergraduate degree from Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, Illinois, earning a bachelor's degree in Biology, a minor in Chemistry and graduating Cum Laude. While in college, Dr. Doersam was a member of the Olivet Nazarene football team and Biology Club. He then went on to obtain his Doctorate of Optometry from the highly respected Pennsylvania College of Optometry.
Dr. Doersam has completed clinical rotations at James H. Quillen VA Medical Center, managing ocular disease and glaucoma, The Eye Institute's Pediatric Department, managing vision and ocular motility concerns in children, and was also awarded with Clinical Excellence at the Thomas Lynch Pediatric Unit. He also completed contact lens training, including specialty lenses, in private practice in Philadelphia. Dr. Doersam is Board Certified in the Treatment and Management of Ocular Disease. He is also a member of the American Optometric Association and Illinois Optometric Association.
Dr. Doersam resides in Geneva, Illinois with his wife, Michelle, his daughter, Adriana, and his son, Ty. Personally, he enjoys spending time with friends and family, working out, and is an avid Chicago sports fan.
Professionally, Dr. Doersam's interests include seeing families and contact lens patients. He especially enjoys working with children. His goal is to provide the best patient care possible, and make every person feel comfortable and confident in the care they receive.
